According to The Telegraph, clubs in the English Premier League (EPL) are considering shortening the winter transfer window to two weeks and closing the summer window before the start of the season.
The goal of this potential change is to minimize the disruptions faced by coaches and teams regarding possible player transfers after the season has begun.
Discussions about altering the transfer window dates took place on February 6 during a meeting of the sporting directors from the 20 EPL clubs.
Additionally, a meeting with club owners, executives, and other key figures is set to take place next week, where they will vote on the transfer schedule.
As of now, Liverpool lead the EPL standings with 56 points, followed by Arsenal with 50 points, and Nottingham Forest in third place with 47 points.
In other news, Liverpool have set a new attendance record for its home matches in the Premier League. In a separate incident, an unnamed Premier League player was arrested on the field during a team training session, suspected of recording an intimate video without his partner's consent.
