FIFA acknowledges unauthorized presence of outsiders on field after World Cup 2022 final

After an internal investigation FIFA has admitted the fact of unauthorized access to the awards ceremony of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, writes the Daily Mail.

The scandal erupted after the publication of photos of Salt Bae celebrity chef Nourset Gökçe, who managed to get through to the Argentine national team at the presentation of the World Cup-2022. An unauthorized person took pictures with the team's players and touched the cup, which is prohibited by FIFA regulations.

The incident led to criticism of the organization and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who is suspected of nepotism.

Argentina and France met in the final of the World Cup. The South American national team won in a penalty shootout (3-3, 4-2 - penalties).
