International Football Federation (FIFA) President Gianni Infantino called the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar the best in the history of world championships.

I have seen all the matches, indeed, and put very simply and very clearly, this has been the best group stage of a FIFA World Cup ever. So, it’s very promising for the remainder of the FIFA World Cup. The matches have been of great, great quality in beautiful stadiums – we knew that already. However, as well, the public who was there was incredible.
The 22nd FIFA World Cup in Qatar takes place from Nov. 20 to Dec. 18 in Qatar. So far, round of 16 matches of the tournament have been played. According to their results, teams of the Netherlands, Argentina, England, France, Croatia, Brazil, Morocco and Portugal advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
