The Football Association of Serbia appealed to fans to avoid provocative behavior at the home 2026 World Cup qualifying match against England, scheduled for Tuesday.

Let us be united in our love for football, support our national team in the right way, and show respect for the opponent and the national anthem of their country. Let the match with England be a celebration of sport and respect among rivals and nations.
Earlier it was reported that security at the Daugava stadium in Latvia banned supporters of the Serbian national team from bringing flags and national paraphernalia to the World Cup qualifier against Latvia. That match took place on September 6 and ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for Serbia.
