Former Portugal national team footballer Miguel Danny shared with Telecom Asia Sport his impressions of his national team's victory in the first round of the World Cup group stage match against Ghana (3-2), and also made a prediction about the performance of Fernando Santos' team.

A good result. Portugal can be congratulated on the victory. We have a very strong team and I am sure we will win the World Cup!
The Portuguese team topped the Group H table after beating Ghana. In the other match of this group Uruguay played a 0-0 draw with South Korea.
Danny played 38 matches for the Portuguese national team, and as a member of Zenit won the UEFA Super Cup and three times won the championship of Russia.
