In the third match of the round of 16, France played with Poland in Doha at the Al-Thumama Stadium. The French won 3-1 thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappé.
Giroud opened the scoring at the end of the first half, scoring his 52nd goal for France. He is now the top scorer in the history of the national team, surpassing Thierry Henry.
Mbappé doubled the score about half an hour after the start of the second half, then made a double at the end. Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty kick before the final whistle.

In the quarterfinals France will play the winner of England vs Senegal. The match will take place on December 10 in Al Khor, Al-Bait stadium. The match will begin at 22:00 GMT+3.
