Giroud's injury in the semifinals may prevent him from playing in the decisive match at 2022 World Cup

French striker Olivier Giroud may spend the World Cup final in Qatar against Argentina on the bench because of an injury sustained in the match against Morocco (2-0).
 
L'Equipe reports that the 36-year-old forward has a knee injury. Marcus Thuram substituted Giroud during the evening training session.
 
The striker played five games in the tournament and scored four goals. In the playoffs the French defeated Poland (3-1) in the round of 16, England (2-1) in the quarterfinals and the Moroccans (2-0) in the semifinals.
 
The final of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar Argentina vs France will take place on December 18 at 18:00 GMT+3.
