
Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has shared details of the unusual condition under which he may decide to leave the English club.
I said to the club I don't want that. I don't want to leave five or six players in the tribune. I don't want that. I will quit. Make a shorter squad, I will stay. It's impossible for my soul to give [leave] my players in the tribune, that they cannot play.
Josep Guardiola has been in charge of Manchester City since 2016. Under his leadership, the club became six times champion of the EPL, two-time winner of the FA Cup and the FA Super Cup, four-time winner of the English League Cup, as well as the winner of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the winner of the Club World Cup.
The current agreement of the 54-year-old Spanish coach with the Citizens” is until the end of the season 2026/27.
Manchester City are in third position in the EPL table, having 68 points with one matchday before the end of the championship.
