La Liga has submitted an official complaint to the disciplinary committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in response to statements made by Real Madrid questioning the integrity of the tournament. This was reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Following their match against Espanyol from Barcelona (0:1) on February 1st, Real Madrid published a letter on their website disputing the referee's actions. They demanded the release of audio recordings of conversations between the main referee and the VAR officials. As a result, at a meeting attended by most La Liga clubs, there was a call to sanction Real Madrid for their complaints and pressure on the referees. Later, Real Madrid's club TV criticized the referee's decisions during their game against Atletico (1:1) in round 23.
Reports indicate that La Liga has not only filed the complaint but is also considering additional measures in the future.
It was previously reported that La Liga plans to appeal to suspend the registrations of Olmo and Victor.
