Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, speaking before the UEFA Champions League Matchday 6 game against Inter, commented on the situation with forward Mohamed Salah in the context of preparing for the match against the Nerazzurri.
The 33-year-old Egyptian was not included in the English club's squad for the meeting.
The Dutch specialist was asked about the possibility of Mohamed Salah participating in the upcoming EPL match against Brighton and how the current situation can be resolved in the long term.
Arne Slot quoted by ESPN
I think we are sitting here on an evening before a big game for us. There is only 36 hours between now and the moment we conceded to make it 3-3 at Leeds. You can understand that I've tried to prepare my team in the best possible way for tomorrow [against Inter]. Most of my thoughts are about tomorrow. In the meantime, we decided not to bring with us to this game and then after tomorrow we will look at the situation again.
In a recent interview, Mohamed Salah expressed dissatisfaction with the coach's and club's attitude toward him after he was left out of the Merseyside starting lineup for three consecutive matches.
