Marca: Messi decides to extend his contract with PSG until June 2024

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina striker Lionel Messi has decided to sign a new contract with the Red-and-Blues.

It is stated that the agreement with the Parisians will be prolonged until 2024. The current employment contract with Messi expires at the end of June 2023.

On March 10, journalist Esteban Edul said that the 35-year-old veteran of La Albiceleste would like to return to FC Barcelona, the club Messi trained in, but the Catalans are not interested in signing a contract with the Argentine star.

On March 3, Keli Nascimento, the daughter of the "king of football" Pelé, in a conversation with the press said that the last wish of the Brazilian legend was to see Argentina win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Messi. Recall that the South American team defeated France (3-3 in regulation time, 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out) in the final of the World Cup.

Messi had 23 matches in the Liga 1-2022/2023 season, in which he scored 13 times and gave the same number of assists.
