Messi changes his mind about extending PSG contract after Argentina's 2022 World Cup win

Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has no plans to extend his contract with the club, journalist Gerard Moreno reports.

According to him, the forward decided it after his triumph with Argentina at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

It was reported that PSG offered the Argentine a new contract on the scheme "1+1". In addition, Lionel's salary under the new employment contract was to exceed the current one.

This season, Messi played 21 matches for PSG in all tournaments, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists.

The Transfermarkt portal estimates the market value of the player at €50 million. Leo's contract with the Parisians is valid until the summer of 2023.
