Messi Surpasses Ronaldinho in Free-Kick Goals

A thrilling game between Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami ended in a 3-3 draw yesterday, May 25, in the MLS regular season.

Inter Miami's Argentine striker Lionel Messi scored a goal, scoring with a direct kick from a free kick.

This goal became the 67th free kick goal for Lionel Messi, surpassing the achievement of former Barcelona and Milan player Ronaldinho, who scored 66 free-kick goals. Only Pele (70) and Juninho (77) are ahead of Messi in the number of goals from free kicks. For comparison, Cristiano Ronaldo has converted 64 free kicks.
