Morocco sensationally defeats Spain on penalties and advances to World Cup 2022 quarterfinals

The Spanish national team sensationally lost to Morocco in the round of 16 match of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, which was held on December 6 and ended in a penalty shootout.

The main time of the match ended with a score of 0-0. In the end of extra time the Spanish national team had a chance to score, but the Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou made several saves. In the penalty shootout Morocco team was the stronger and won 3-0.

Deciding penalty: Hakimi.

Thanks to this victory the Moroccan team reached the quarterfinals, where they will meet the winner of the match Portugal vs Switzerland. The match will be held on December 6 and will start at 22:00 GMT+3.
