According to Diario Do Peixe, 32-year-old Brazilian winger Neymar, currently with Saudi club Al-Hilal, intends to return to his home club, Santos.
The source reports that the Brazilian club has arranged a six-month loan for Neymar, lasting until the end of his contract with Al-Hilal. A decisive factor in this move was Neymar's desire to join his former club, despite interest from MLS team Chicago Fire.
An announcement regarding the deal may be made in the coming days.
Neymar played for Santos from 2009 to 2013, making 225 appearances, scoring 136 goals, and providing 64 assists. His current contract with Al-Hilal, where he has only played seven matches, scoring one goal and providing three assists, runs until the summer of 2025. According to Transfermarkt, Neymar's market value is estimated at 15 million euros.
Earlier, Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus stated that Neymar would not be included in the team's roster for the second half of the Saudi Arabian championship because his level is no longer satisfactory for the team.
The 32-year-old Brazilian footballer has expressed his desire to compete in the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
