
The statistical website Opta Sports has released its rankings of teams most likely to win the UEFA Champions League by the end of the 2024/2025 season.
Liverpool, the English Premier League club, has the highest chance of victory at 24.6%. The team, led by Arne Slot, finished at the top of the overall standings with 21 points from eight matches.
Following Liverpool, Arsenal is the next likely candidate with a 16.6% chance. Rounding out the top three is Italy's Serie A team, Inter Milan, with a 14.5% probability.
The only team that Opta Sports believes has no chance of winning (0%) is Brest, a debutant in the Champions League and European competitions, from France's Ligue 1.
The first playoff round matches are set to take place on February 11-12, 2025. The current tournament champions are Real Madrid, who have a 4.4% chance of retaining its title according to the supercomputer.
