Qatar is the first team in history to lose two matches in a group at home at 2022 World Cup at home

Qatar's national football team became the first team in history to lose two consecutive matches at a home World Cup, losing to Senegal in a Nov. 25 meeting.

The meeting was held Nov. 25 and ended 3-1 in favor of the Senegalese team. Qatar lost for the second time in a row in a home World Cup match, having previously lost to Ecuador (0-2).

The Senegalese team got its first win of the tournament. In the first round match of World Cup 2022, which runs from November 20 to December 18, the Senegalese team lost to the Netherlands with a score of 0-2.
