
On July 5, Real Madrid emerged victorious over Borussia Dortmund with a score of 3-2 in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.
Gonzalo Garcia opened the scoring early in the 10th minute, followed by Fran Garcia adding a second goal in the 20th minute. Kylian Mbappe scored in stoppage time at 90+4 minutes, seemingly securing the win.
However, Borussia Dortmund responded late with a goal from Maximilian Beier in the 90+2 minute and a penalty converted by Serhou Guirassy in the 90+8 minute. Despite their efforts, Dortmund could not equalize.
Real Madrid will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals on July 9.
