Real Madrid are showing interest in Bayern Munich center back Dayot Upamecano, according to Florian Plettenberg. The Spanish club has not yet opened formal talks with the player but is prepared to do so if the Frenchman does not agree on a contract extension with Bayern.
Plettenberg reports that Upamecano’s representatives are currently in discussions with Bayern over a new deal, which is expected to run through either 2030 or 2031.
Upamecano joined Bayern in the summer of 2021 from RB Leipzig for €60 million. So far this season, he has made 14 appearances across all competitions. Transfermarkt currently estimates him at €60 million.
