Portuguese Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has provided aid to those affected by the earthquake that struck several areas in southeastern Turkey in early February, the Daily Mail reports.

According to the source, the 38-year-old footballer sent a plane with humanitarian aid to the areas that were most severely affected by the natural disaster. It is noted that the forward allocated personal funds to purchase tents, food supplies, bedding, baby food and medicines.

The earthquake in Turkey has killed more than 40 thousand people. Professional athletes were among the dead and injured. Football clubs Hatayspor and Gaziantep withdrew from the current national championship.
