Katia Aveiro, sister of forward Cristiano Ronaldo, spoke out about Portugal's exit from the World Cup in Qatar.

We lost this tournament when a small bunch of rats celebrated the victory over Switzerland as a victory over Ronaldo. There are no clubs in the national team. The national team is the country. But unfortunately in Portugal the lesson hasn't yet been learned.

At the 2022 World Cup, Portugal qualified for the playoffs from first place in the group, defeated Switzerland (6-1) in round of 16 and lost to Morocco (0-1) in the quarterfinals. Ronaldo started both matches on the bench.
