The Royal Belgian Football Association has officially announced the appointment of Rudi Garcia as the new head coach of the Belgium national team.
Garcia’s previous role was at Napoli, which he left in the summer of 2023. The 60-year-old coach has also managed several other clubs, including Al-Nassr, Lyon, Marseille, Roma, and Lille.
Currently, the Belgium national team is in third place in the Nations League group, with four points earned over six matches.
It’s worth noting that in mid-January, the former Spartak Moscow coach Domenico Tedesco was dismissed from his position as head coach, having been in charge since 2023.
At the recently held Euro 2024 in Germany, the Belgium national team was eliminated in the Round of 16, and in the UEFA Nations League group featuring Italy, France, and Israel, they secured four points.
