Salah Named Player of the Year in England

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been awarded the title of Player of the Year in England by the Football Writers' Association.

This is the third time Salah has received this honor, having previously been named the best player for the 2017/18 and 2021/22 seasons. Last season, the title was awarded to Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden.

Salah has been with the Reds since July 2017, during which he has played 398 matches for the club, scoring 244 goals and providing 113 assists.

In other news, Sporting's forward Victor Gyokeres has surpassed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
