Serie A President Proposes Temporary Relocation of Inter and Milan Matches to the USA

Ezio Maria Simonelli, president of Italy's Serie A, has proposed moving Inter and Milan matches to the United States during the temporary closure of San Siro.

Milan and Inter's legendary stadium is scheduled to be shut from January 10 to February 8, 2026. It will be renovated over this time in preparation for the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

When the arena is temporarily unavailable, it's crucial not just to find a replacement, but to make the most of the situation.

In order to implement this idea, UEFA and other football authorities must sanction it, and negotiations have already begun.
