The Royal Spanish Football Federation has announced the extension of head coach Luis de la Fuente’s contract with the national team until 2028.
De la Fuente took charge of the Spanish national team in 2022 after their elimination in the Round of 16 at the Qatar World Cup. Under his leadership, Spain won the European Championship and the UEFA Nations League.
Previously, de la Fuente expressed his thoughts on the potential of the current lineup of the Spanish team. He also stated that it’s essential in football to play with maximum intensity while staying within the rules.
