Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simón commented on the national team's exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the last 16 stage of the tournament.

We didn't expect to be knocked out by Morocco. For 120 minutes of the game, we were better on the field. But that doesn't mean anything if we don't score. They were better than us in the penalty shootout. Simon told AS

The Spanish national team sensationally lost to Morocco in the round of 16 match of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, which was held on December 6 and ended in a penalty shootout with a score of 3-0 in favor of the Moroccans.

Unai Simón, quoted by AS
We didn't expect to be knocked out by Morocco. For 120 minutes of the game, we were better on the field. But that doesn't mean anything if we don't score. They were better than us in the penalty shootout.

Thanks to this victory, the Moroccan team advanced to the quarter-finals, where it will meet Portugal on December 10 at 18:00 GMT+3.
