TeamTalk reports that Marcus Rashford, forward for La Liga’s Barcelona and the England national team, does not plan to return to his parent club Manchester United.
The 27-year-old striker wants to pursue his professional career at Barcelona. Despite potential financial constraints imposed by La Liga on the club, Barcelona’s management is keen on signing Rashford on a permanent contract. The transfer could be finalized in late June 2026 after his loan ends.
Rashford, a Manchester United academy graduate, was loaned to Barcelona in July 2025 with an option to buy. In the 2025-2026 season, he played eight La Liga matches (1 goal, 4 assists) and two UEFA Champions League games (2 goals, 1 assist). Transfermarkt estimates him at €40 million.
