UEFA Names Nominees for Champions League Player of the Week

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the names of the nominees for the Player of the Week award in the Champions League, following the first leg matches of the Round of 16. Four players have been nominated.

Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma, Aston Villa's Marco Asensio, and Borussia Dortmund's Emre Can are on the list.

Notably, Harry Kane scored a goal and provided an assist in the match against Bayer (2-0), Gianluigi Donnarumma helped his French team reach the quarter-finals by saving two shots in the penalty shootout, Marco Asensio netted two goals in the game against Brugge (3-0), and Emre Can scored in the match against Lille.

Recall that the first matches of the Champions League quarter-finals will take place on April 8 and 9.

All quarter-final matchups for Europe’s top club tournament have also been revealed.
