The Ukrainian Association of Football (UFF) asked the International Football Association (FIFA) to exclude the national team of Iran from participation in the World Cup that will soon start in Qatar. It is reported by Sky Sports.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian federation accused Iran of supplying weapons to the Russian Federation and the violation of Article 3 and 4 of the FIFA statute, which obliges members of the organization to respect human rights and fight against discrimination.

Earlier, Dominica's permanent representative to the UN Paolo Zampolli urged to remove Iran from the list of participants in the 2022 World Cup and take the Italian national team instead.
