New Al-Nassr head coach Jorge Jesus, who took over the club in the summer of 2025, shared his impressions of working with Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese manager noted that he doesn't feel a significant age difference with the team's 40-year-old captain. His comments were reported by A Bola, citing RTP.
Ronaldo is different, even in his biological age, which is why he’s 40 and still playing. I’m 70, but I don’t feel it mentally or physically. We both think very similarly outside of football. He’s a global icon. We don’t appreciate Ronaldo enough in Portugal. He’s the biggest human reference point in the world, the biggest celebrity. He transcends the world of football.
For 70-year-old Jorge Jesus, Al-Nassr is his second club in Saudi Arabia. He has previously worked with Al-Hilal, where he won the national championship in the 2023/24 season.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been with Al-Nassr since January 2023. During this time, the Portuguese star has played 105 matches, scoring 93 goals and providing 19 assists. The new season of the Saudi Pro League begins on August 19, with Jesus' team starting off with a Super Cup match against Al-Ittihad.
