
The midfielder of the Catalan club Barcelona and the Spanish national team Lamine Yamal became the most expensive footballer in the world according to the Transfermarkt website.
The cost of the 17-year-old footballer rose by 20 million euros and totaled 200 million. Next to him are the players of Real Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, as well as Erling Haaland from Manchester City. They are worth 180 million euros. Former top scorer Vinicius Júnior is valued at 170 million euros.
Last season Yamal played 55 matches for Barcelona in all tournaments, in which he scored 18 goals and made 25 assists. Last season, the footballer won the championship, the Cup and the Super Cup of Spain as part of Barcelona.
Earlier, the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) reported that the cost of 17-year-old Yamal reached the mark of 402.3 million euros after signing a new agreement with the club until 2031.
