The source reports that other names are listed on the list of potential replacements for the management of The Royal Club. An emergency board meeting was held last Monday, where some participants voted for Xabi Alonso's immediate dismissal, but another part called for maintaining composure and supporting the current coach.
Zidane managed Real Madrid from 2016 to 2021. Under his leadership, the team triumphed in the Champions League three times, won the Spanish league and the Club World Cup twice, and also claimed the UEFA Super Cup twice. Zidane resigned in May 2021 and has not held coaching positions since then.
Real Madrid currently sit in second position in the La Liga standings, having accumulated 36 points after 16 matches played and trailing leader Barcelona by four points. In the last five league rounds, Xabi Alonso's side has achieved only one victory, drawn three times, and suffered one defeat.
