Guan Chenchen won an Olympic gold in the women’s balance beam as China continues to increase its medal count widening the margin with the USA. Simone Biles of the USA came in third during the event and secured a bronze.
Chenchen lodged a total of 14.633 points, overcoming her compatriot Tang Xijing who finished with 14.233 points. Sunisa Lee of the USA who came on top in women’s all-around Artistic Gymnastics finished in fifth place.
