Russian hockey player Abakar Kazbekov, who played for the Ontario Hockey League club London Knights, died at the age of 18. The club's Twitter account announced the news.
The reasons for the athlete's death are not reported. The club expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the player in its statement. It is noted that the nearest meeting of the London Knights will be postponed.
Kazbekov, 18, was a pupil of Podolsk hockey. He transferred to the London Knights before the 2021/22 season. He played 21 games in the current regular season, scored one goal and gave one assist.
