England received devastating news as the team learned that its flamboyant opener Jason Roy has been ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Roy has a torn calf, an injury that he picked up during the game between South Africa and England. The injury occurred while he was batting and he had to be helped off the field by his teammates. In the World Cup, Jason had 123 runs in five games with the highest score of 61.

I'm gutted. It is a bitter pill to swallow. I will be staying on to support the boys, and hopefully, we can go all the way and lift that trophy. It has been an unbelievable journey so far, and we have to continue expressing ourselves and concentrating on us.
