Kremlin Cup WTA Second Round schedule

Four contestants will be decided for the Quarterfinals leg in the Kremlin Cup during the final day of the Second Round. And the match-ups for the day feature stalwarts like Maria Sakkari, Anett Kontaveit, and Simona Halep.

In the first game of the day, Anett Kontaveit will face off against Andrea Petkovic. Anett comes into the game after a 6-3, 6-3 win over Katerina Siniakova. Meanwhile, Andre arrives after a three-set walkover win versus Jelena Ostapenko.

Meanwhile, in the second game of the day, Maria Sakkari will battle Anna Kalinskaya. Maria got a bye for the Round of 16, courtesy of her being a third seed. Meanwhile, qualifier Anna Kalinskaya beat Dayana Yastremska in the previous round in a 7-6, 6-4 victory.

In the third match, Marketa Vondrosouva will fight it out against Lesia Tsurenko. Marketa beat Elena Rybakina 6-4, 6-4 to reach the stage. On the other hand, qualifier Lesia beat Qinwen Zhang 6-4, 6-3 to earn this match.

In the final battle of the day, Veronika Kudermetova will take on Simona Halep. Veronika beat Oksana Selekhmeteva in a grinding 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 contest. Meanwhile, Simona comes in after earning a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Anastasia Potapova. The complete schedule for the day is given below:
