Liu Shiying propels China to Olympic gold in women's javelin

China earned another medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic as Liu Shiying bagged a gold medal in women’s javelin. Maria Andrejczyk claimed the silver medal in the competition as Poland added another one to their tally.

Liu's throw covered a distance of 66.34 m, while Maria’s throw flew to 64.61 m. While Liu and Maria had daylight between their total distance, the bronze medalist Kelsey Lee-Barber barely missed out on a silver medal with 64.56 m, a mere 0.05 m of distance between her and Maria’s throw.
