Abdurakhimov vs Almeida postponed until January 2023

The fight between UFC heavyweights Shamil Abdurahimov and Brazilian Hilton Almeida has been postponed to January 2023 due to leg injury of the Russian.

Originally, the fight was scheduled for October 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.

Abdurahimov last fought against his compatriot Sergei Pavlovich at UFC London in March of this year. In this fight, Shamil lost by TKO in the first round. There are 20 wins and seven losses on Shamil's record.

Almeida last entered the Octagon against American Parker Porter in May at UFC Vegas 55. That fight ended in favor of the Brazilian athlete with a first-round submission. He had 16 wins and two losses on his record.
