Bare Knuckle FC (BKFC) has decided not to go through with a contract for former UFC fighter Jeff Molina after the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) intervened. The league announced this change on their social media platforms.
Previously, Molina himself had announced the signing of a deal with BKFC in an interview with famous journalist Ariel Helwani, and the league confirmed this with an official statement that was later deleted.
We respect the ABC's [Athletic Boxing Commission's] current suspension and will honour their rules and suspensions.
In January 2023, Molina was suspended from fighting due to allegations of involvement in a fixed match, leading to the end of his work at the UFC.
His last fight took place against Zhalgas Zhumagulov in June 2022 at UFC Fight Night 207, where he won by split decision. Molina has a record of 11 wins and two losses in MMA.
