Chimaev Calls de Ridder a Quitter Following the Loss

UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev reacted to Reinier de Ridder’s loss to Brendan Allen at UFC Fight Night 262.

On October 19 in Vancouver, Canada, de Ridder was defeated by technical knockout after refusing to come out for the fifth round. Before the fight, Reinier was considered one of the main contenders for a title bout with Chimaev.

De Ridder’s previous fight was in July 2025 at UFC on ABC, where he defeated Robert Whittaker by split decision. His record stands at 21 wins and three losses.

Allen last fought in July 2025 at UFC 318, defeating Marvin Vettori by unanimous decision. His record is 26 wins and seven losses.
