Swedish UFC fighter of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev responded to the league's middleweight champion, Brazilian Alex Pereira, who accused him of refusing to fight.

Chimaev last appeared in the octagon in September this year at the UFC 279 tournament. That time he defeated American Kevin Holland by choking in the first round. The Swede has 12 wins without a single defeat under his belt.
Pereira won the belt on November 13 at UFC 281 with a TKO in the fifth round over New Zealand's Israel Adesanya. Alex has seven wins and one loss under his belt.
