For context, Della Maddalena won the bout against Muhammad by unanimous decision, becoming the new champion of the division.
Prior to this fight, Muhammad stepped into the octagon in July 2024 at UFC 304, where he defeated Leon Edwards by unanimous decision. His record now stands at 24 wins and four losses, with one no contest.
