UFC No. 4 ranked lightweight Beneil Dariush is confident he will be able to get an early victory over former division champion Charles Oliveira.

I think I'll get an early win in either the first or second round. That's how I picture it in my head. I'm just going to be myself. When he starts to get hot, I'm gonna join in and it will turn into the crazy fight everybody expects.
It was previously reported that Dariush and Oliveira will fight on May 6 at UFC 288.
Oliveira, 33, lost by second round choke to Islam Makhachev at UFC 280 in October 2022. He has 33 wins and nine losses under his belt.
Dariush, 33, defeated Mateusz Gamrot by unanimous decision at UFC 280. He has 22 wins and four losses on his record.
