Diaz Mistook Me for Khabib and Started Flipping Me Off: Olympic Medalist Kadzimahamedau

Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau, silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, shared in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net about a confrontation with Nate Diaz before UFC 311.

"At the press conference before Islam Makhachev’s fight against Arman Tsarukyan in January 2025, I was wearing a mask and glasses. Nate Diaz walked past me and mistook me for Khabib Nurmagomedov. A lot of people mistake me for him. Diaz moved away, then started coming back towards me. Our team members were at the ready," Kadzimahamedou said.

They expected he might start something. Nate stepped back about 20 meters and started flipping me off. There was already a lot of security around. Typical of him. I didn’t say or do anything. They escorted me and my team out; we were a big group.

Nate Diaz has 24 wins and 13 losses. On September 10 at UFC 279, Diaz won against Tony Ferguson in the fourth round.
