Former IBF junior welterweight and WBA Regular welterweight champion Paul Malignaggi has announced that he has signed a contract for three bouts with the bare-knuckle boxing league BKB. Malignaggi's debut with the organization is scheduled for September 6 in Bristol, England.
Paul Malignaggi
Here at BKB, there's really good contenders in the super welterweight division. I want to fight one of those top contenders and earn my spot. I don't want to jump the line. I still got what got the goods and I'm chasing that title.
For context, in June 2019, Paul had a bare-knuckle fight against former UFC fighter Artem Lobov under the BKFC banner, where he lost by unanimous decision, leading him to announce his retirement from professional sports.
His last boxing match took place in March 2017, where he lost to Sam Eggington by knockout in the eighth round. His record includes 36 wins (seven by knockout) and eight losses.
