I view (Jones) as retired unless he proved otherwise. He's out of fights, out of mind. I'm not even thinking about Jon. That's what he wants, for people to ask, 'What do you think Jon is going to do?' I don't care. The rest of the division, I'm looking to get someone top five after this.
Jones last appeared in the octagon in November 2024 at UFC 309, where he defeated Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. His record stands at 28 wins and one loss, with one fight ruled a no contest.
Blaydes last fought in July 2024 at UFC 304, where he suffered a knockout loss to Tom Aspinall in the first round. His record includes 18 wins and five losses, with one fight deemed a no contest.
