Khabib Appeals to Irish Fans: We Love You Because You Support Our Brothers in Palestine

UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov addressed the Irish audience after Usman Nurmagomedov's victory over Paul Hughes at the PFL Road to Dubai Champions Series 1.

Khabib Nurmagomedov
All these things beginning from my side and the other guy [Conor McGregor] when we was fighting, but don't forget, Ireland is the biggest supporter in the world for Palestine. Don't forget about this. We love you guys. You, your government, everybody. We are inside the cage, only competition. MMA all about respect. We love you guys because you guys support our brother in Palestine.

It's worth noting that on January 26, Usman beat Hughes by a majority decision during the PFL Road To Dubai: Champions Series event.

Hughes last fought in October 2024 at the PFL Super Fights, where he defeated AJ McKee by split decision. He holds a record of 13 wins and two losses.

Nurmagomedov previously entered the cage in September 2024 at the Bellator Champions Series, winning against Alexander Shabliy by unanimous decision. His record stands at 19 wins, with no losses, and one bout deemed a no contest.
