A fight for the vacant lightweight title between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira will take place at UFC 317 on June 29 in Paradise, USA.
This was officially announced by the promotion's press service. The matchup between Topuria and Oliveira will headline the event. It was also reported that Islam Makhachev vacated the lightweight title to move up to welterweight.
Oliveira last fought in November 2024 at UFC 309, winning a unanimous decision against Michael Chandler. His record is 35 wins and 10 losses, with one no contest.
Topuria's most recent octagon appearance was in October 2024 at UFC 308, where he knocked out Max Holloway in the third round. He remains undefeated with 16 wins and no losses.
