Ecuadorian UFC welterweight fighter Michael Morales hinted that he can knock out the division's new champion, Russia's Islam Makhachev.
On November 16 in New York (USA), as part of a UFC event, Morales defeated American Sean Brady by technical knockout in the first round. In the main event of the night, Islam Makhachev won against Australian Jack Della Maddalena by unanimous decision.
Morales wrote on his Instagram, paraphrasing a statement by Makhachev about wrestling and Dagestan:
Two, three years in Tijuana and you'll learn how to knock someone out.
Recall that UFC CEO Dana White stated that the winner of the fight between Morales and Brady would become the next title contender.
Morales holds a record of 19 wins and zero losses. Makhachev's record stands at 28 wins and one loss.
