British heavyweight fighter Tom Aspinall commented on becoming the record holder for holding the UFC interim title.

That is bulls—. That’s not something that I wanted. I’m not proud of that one. The interim title is nice. But the longest-reigning one? I obviously wanted to contend for the undisputed in the time that I’ve been interim.
Aspinall last fought against Curtis Blaydes in July 2024 at UFC 304, winning by knockout in the first round. His mixed martial arts record stands at 15 wins and three losses.
